Why Custom Boat Covers Beat Generic Options
Perfect Fit Prevents Damage
Generic covers leave gaps that allow water, dirt, and pests to enter. Our custom-fitted covers seal properly, preventing costly damage to your boat's interior and electronics.
No Water Pooling
Off-the-shelf covers sag and collect water, creating stress on fabric and potential mold growth. Our covers are patterned with proper drainage and support pole placement.
Longer Lifespan
Loose-fitting covers flap in the wind, causing premature wear and tear. Custom covers fit snugly, reducing movement and extending fabric life by years.
Better Protection
Marine-grade Sunbrella or Tempotest fabrics offer superior UV resistance, water repellency, and breathability compared to generic cover materials.
Premium Marine Materials
Marine-Grade Fabrics
Sunbrella Marine Canvas – Industry-leading UV resistance, water repellency, and color retention. Available in dozens of colors.
Tempotest – High-performance acrylic fabric with excellent weather resistance and durability.
SolarFix Thread
Marine-grade polyester thread with UV inhibitors, guaranteed to outlast the fabric itself. Won't rot, mildew, or break down in marine environments.
Professional Hardware
Stainless steel grommets and snaps
Heavy-duty tie-down straps and buckles
Reinforced stress points at all attachment locations
Custom support pole systems for proper drainage

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a custom boat cover cost?
Pricing varies based on boat size, cover type, and complexity. Small covers start around $2,100 and can go up to $3,500 for larger boats. Contact us with your boat's make, model, and length for a detailed quote. We provide transparent pricing with no hidden fees.
How long does it take to get a custom boat cover?
We're currently booking for the 2026 season. Once we pattern your boat (typically before winter storage), fabrication occurs during the off-season, with delivery in time for storage or spring use.
Do you make winter storage covers?
We don't fabricate full winter storage covers. These covers are extremely large and bulky, which makes them incompatible with our table setup and sewing equipment. Our shop is optimized for precision work on custom-fitted boat covers, bimini tops, enclosures, and cushions—projects that require detailed patterning and careful construction. For winter storage covers, we recommend contacting marine canvas shops that specialize in large-scale shrink wrap or tarp-style covers designed for seasonal storage."
Do you come to my boat or do I bring it to you?
Both options work! We travel up to 30 miles one way for on-site patterning within our service area. You can also bring your boat to our shop in Bellingham, MA to avoid travel charges.
What colors are available?
We offer a full range of Sunbrella, Tempotest, and Stamoid colors. We'll show you samples during consultation to help you choose the perfect match for your boat.
Can you add support poles to prevent water pooling?
Absolutely! We design covers with proper drainage in mind and can include custom support pole systems to ensure water runs off rather than pooling on the cover.
What size boats do you work on?
We work on powerboats and occasionally sailboats ranging from 10 to 50 feet in length.
Do you repair existing boat covers?
We can assess repair needs and provide honest recommendations. Sometimes repairs make sense; other times a new custom cover is the better investment.
Will my cover fit if I add accessories to my boat later?
We store your boat's CAD patterns permanently. If you add new equipment or accessories, we would need to rescan your boat to accommodate major changes in the cover.
How do I know what type of cover I need?
During our consultation, we'll discuss how you use and store your boat. We'll recommend the best cover type (full, cockpit, mooring, trailer, etc.) based on your specific needs and budget.
